#savethedate: The next meeting will be held on May 16.
The public meetings will occur every other week on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. until October.
Traffic Control Update: By the end-of-date tomorrow, May 2, the north side intersection of 32nd Ave. and 33rd St. S will be reopening to traffic in all directions. On Wednesday, May 3, the north side intersection at 32nd Ave. and 32nd St. S will be reduced to one lane, open to northbound traffic only. All southbound traffic will be detoured to 30th Avenue S and 36th Street S. All intersections on the west side of the work zone have reopened.
Mid-to-late this week, contractors for the project will be completing two concrete overlay pours in the south side lanes over the I-29 bridge. Leading up to and during these pours, drivers may experience short-term, single lane closures on the bridge or flaggers to slow down traffic. Slow speeds are necessary so concrete can set and gain its required strength. Fargo Police will also be present in the area to assist and watch for speeders.
The next major traffic impact closing 36th Street S, south of 32nd Ave., is now scheduled to take place within the next week or two, weather permitting. This closure will last approximately three weeks while crews widen and add lanes to the road. All business access will be maintained via side streets and posted detour routes. More details about this closure will be sent as soon as the timeline is finalized. (view updated map)
