West Fargo Main Avenue Public Information Meeting and Traffic Shifting to New Concrete on Westside Tuesday

|Public information meeting to be held Tuesday, May 24 at 11 a.m.
Officials from the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and City of West Fargo will discuss current phase work for the 2016 Main Avenue Reconstruction project as well as upcoming traffic impacts and construction progress.
Main Avenue area businesses, residents and the general public are invited to attend.

Meetings occur every other week at the same time and location.

810 12th Ave. NW (use the temporary dirt road and access the parking lot from the west)
Main Ave. Traffic Update:
Tomorrow morning, May 24, traffic will be moving to the newly reconstructed roadway on the north side of Main Avenue from west of Drain 21 to just before 6th St. NW intersection.
Traffic is currently head-to-head, one lane in each direction, running mostly on the south side of Main Ave.
The alternative routes and available access from Main Avenue to the north side residential or all businesses between 9th Street NW and 6th Street NW is:
OPEN: 9th St./CR 19
– This is a light vehicle and heavy-load traffic route.
– County Road 10 W to the Raymond interchange on Interstate 94 is also a heavy-load truck traffic route.
TEMPORARILY CLOSED: 6th St. NW
– Use 2nd Avenue NW to 9th St./CR 19.
South side intersection access off of Main Ave. remains open at 9th St., 8th Street SW and 6th St. Access to Main Ave. from 11th Street SW is temporarily closed.
Access Note for 12th Ave NW:
Attendees should access the West Fargo Public Works building from the west using the temporary dirt road constructed on the north side of 12th Ave NW. There is a directional sign posted. 12th Ave NW is closed from east of 9th Street Northwest/County Road 19 to the west of County Road 17 for road construction project.
The 2016 scope of work includes replacement of Sheyenne River bridge with new box culvert and construction of a new box culvert at Drain 21 (approximately 11th St W), roadway reconstruction of eastbound and westbound lanes, removal of frontage roads, addition of direct business access, and installation of new storm sewer, water main and sanitary sewer.
This is the third, and final, phase of reconstruction for Main Avenue in West Fargo.
