This week, drivers and pedestrians have seen crews removing most of the traffic control devices from the work zone and reopening all eastbound and westbound lanes of Main Avenue from Sheyenne Street to 12th Street W to traffic in West Fargo.
On Wednesday, October 12 at 1:30 p.m. officials from the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT), City of West Fargo, Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber, project contractors and other key partners will celebrate the completion of the final reconstruction phase work of Main Avenue in West Fargo. There will be short remarks shared by NDDOT Director Grant Levi, Mayor Rich Mattern and additional guest speakers.
The 2016 scope of work included replacement of Sheyenne River bridge with new box culvert and construction of a new box culvert at Drain 21 (approximately 12th St W), roadway reconstruction of eastbound and westbound lanes, removal of frontage roads, addition of direct business access, and installation of new storm sewer, water main and sanitary sewer.
